Technical Support Engineer – Level II

Position Type: Full time, Exempt
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Description:

Technical Support Analyst Level II reports to the Services Director. The responsibilities for the position combine software technical support and systems analysis, training, and consulting focused on helping Scribe's customers and resellers be more successful using its products. The position requires a well-rounded professional with experience in the software industry and customer facing skills that can be applied to the broad areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Resolve 2nd level technical support cases and per incident paid support cases thorough analysis and systematic procedures to Scribe’s Resellers and End-users
  • Escalate to and work with Scribe Product Development on challenging issues
  • Contributing to the development of technical resources such as knowledge base articles and technical documentation
  • Designing, developing or duplicating customer’s data migration/integration solutions
  • Clearly documenting problem descriptions, defects, and resolutions in the technical support system
  • Providing remote consulting services
  • Developing end-user prototype solutions
  • Delivering training to partners and customers, primarily by the Web
  • Maintaining relationships with OEM partner help desks including training and escalation process
  • Some travel could be required to deliver on site training and consulting on a very limited basis

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience with relational databases, SQL queries, and data conversion/integration
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, CRM, NAV or AX or other CRM and ERP applications such as Salesforce.com, Saleslogix, or SAP is highly desired
  • DBA background is highly desired
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to speak, write, and communicate in English

Inside Sales Representative

Position Type: Full time
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Position Description:

The Scribe Inside Sales Representative position reports directly to the Director of Sales and is responsible for generating an annual sales quota revenue to Scribe for Scribe Online Data Replication and Data Integration Services sold directly and through the Scribe Online website.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • This inside position requires the majority of time to be spent on the phone in cold calling prospects to promote and sell Scribe Online Data Replication and Data Integration Services to achieve annual sales revenue quota.
  • Calling into Scribe Online ‘free trial’ users to convert them to contracted customers to achieve annual sales revenue quota.
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate Scribe Online Data Replication and Data Integration services capabilities.

ISV Sales Engagement Representative

Position Type: Full time

Position Description:

The Scribe ISV Sales Engagement Representative position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and is responsible for fostering field sales engagement between Scribe Account Executives and Regional Sales Managers and field sales and technical teams of Scribe supported CRM and ERP application vendors and newly recruited ISVs in the Scribe Partner Program.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Scribe Marketing teams and Partner Development Managers to help develop and to insure that the appropriate lead generation, field based sales engagement activities, and field based vendor and ISV event participation activities are being developed and rolled out to promote Scribe throughout the Scribe supported CRM and ERP application vendors’ field selling organizations as well as newly recruited ISVs in the Scribe Partner Program. Direct engagement with field sales teams (both Scribe and vendor/ISV) in the implementation of these activities is the focused responsibility of this position.
  • Work with Scribe Account Executives and Regional Sales Managers to provide a weekly forecast of assigned business and aid the Scribe sales teams in building, managing, and closing a vendor/ISV based pipeline of opportunities. Meet weekly with Sales Management to review this vendor/ISV based opportunity pipeline.
  • Use of Scribe CRM system and office productivity tools.
  • Travel (approx. 50%) within region to vendor, and/or ISV sales events.

Pre-Sales Engineer

Position Type: Full time

Position Description:

This is a hands-on position reporting to the Director of Technical Resources. The primary objective of this position is to provide technical pre-sales support for Scribe’s sales team, Scribe’s partners, and Scribe’s customers. The person in this position will focus on providing remote sales support to Scribe’s European sales team with working hours tailored to that geography. Responsibilities include providing knowledge transfer through pre-sales and post sales technical support, the development of technical sales materials, training, and technical consulting.

The ideal candidate should have the combined technical skills and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate about Scribe’s products with both technical and business audiences. The ideal candidate should also project energy and enthusiasm for Scribe’s products.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering questions about Scribe’s products by email, telephone, or web meeting
  • Monitoring and answering of questions sent to the pre-sales email mailbox
  • Creating and performing Scribe product demonstrations and webinars
  • General and custom technical pre-sales calls with vendors and prospects in support of all sales opportunities for Scribe

SQA Engineer

Position Type: Full time
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Position Description:

The SQA Engineer is responsible for the quality assurance testing of Scribe’s products which are built on Microsoft’s .Net platform utilizing agile development processes and methods.  This position will work closely with Scribe’s software engineers to validate new/existing features and verify the production readiness of the product. The ideal candidate will be an analytical, innovative, and self-motivated individual who is eager to develop new skills while evolving existing strengths. This is a mid to senior-level position reporting to the manager of the SQA Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and maintain test plans and scripts
  • Execute test cycles defined for each product release milestone
  • Track and report quality metrics for every release project
  • Assist in managing QA environment and test beds
  • Work with the engineering team to enhance the testability of the product, including execution of new and/or existing automated tests
  • Participate in product specification and documentation reviews
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues from customer support and other internal departments
  • Assist in streamlining overall software quality process and procedures

Required Skills:

Candidates must possess the following skills:

  • Solid knowledge of software development life cycles and configuration management
  • Considerable experience in testing back-end components of client/server and/or web-based products
  • Solid experience in testing front-end components of client/server and/or web-based products

Senior Sales Engineer

Position Type: Full time

Position Description:

This is a hands-on position reporting to the Director of Technical services. The primary objective of this position is to support the Scribe Enterprise Sales and Business Development teams by providing sales engineering support to Scribe’s partners and prospective customers. This position spans Scribe’s product line including the on-premise Insight product and the integration as a service Scribe Online product. Responsibilities include providing integration design help to independent software vendors, systems integrators, and enterprise corporate IT organizations. Responsibilities also include the development of technical sales materials and delivering technical training.

The ideal candidate has the combined technical skills and presentation skills to effectively communicate about Scribe’s technical product with both technical and business audiences, and should project energy and enthusiasm for Scribe’s products.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work directly with partners and prospective customers to understand integration requirements and recommend integration design.
  • Create and present product presentations, demonstrations, and Q&A sessions.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to Scribe’s partners as they implement solutions using Scribe’s connector SDK.
  • Develop proof of concept solutions as directed by the Scribe’s Sales team. This can include developing proof of concept connectors for Scribe Online.
  • Deliver presentations and participate in panel discussions at industry and partner events.
  • Create reusable product demonstrations and presentations to be used by Scribe’s partners and by Scribe’s sales team to close new business and strategically position Scribe’s product in the market.
  • Position Scribe’s products relative to competitors from both the business and technical perspectives.
  • Provide training and expert technical content within Scribe’s partner community.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations and presentations at trade shows.
  • This position will be based at Scribe’s office in New Hampshire and could involve travelling up to 8-10 times per year. The travel will typically be in North America, but could also include Europe.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience representing technical products in a sales process
  • The ability to communicate clearly the strategic value and competitive differentiators of a product and demonstrate specific product features and capabilities to reinforce the value and differentiators is essential
